At YOLK, we believe in the power of dance as a form of expression and a way to connect with ourselves and others, prioritizing community as a core value for social transformation.
Focused on transmission of Street and Clubbing afro and latin diasporic dances, exploring its techniques, its movements and underlying concepts which are continously evolving, all with the purpose of enhacing identity and personal expression.
Our mission is to live by the vision of collectiveness as a constant, where each one embraces their own background story.
We strive to sustain environments where people feel safe and empowered. There is no place for discrimination, racism, or any form of agression.
Through time in practices, talks, jams and other activities, we learn, explore and connect while providing and holding a responsible space.
